At the first definition of the silo in different languages then we’ll describe the usages of silos in crushing plant and asphalt plant and batching plant.
Silo in French is called as a special storage for protecting cereal and special grain also silos come in many shapes and sizes like a tower or pit.
Silos in Spanish is a pit or cavity that is built on the ground and store seeds,roots,green fodder and etc…
In the various industries specially the machinery industry which is the subject of this article silo has a variety of usages and dimensions.
Silo in the stone crushing plant:
Silos are used for mineral material for grinding processe with different sizes.
1.Main silos (mother)
2.horizontal silos
3.oxygen silos
1.Main silos also is called Mother silos mainly installed at height and sometimes on the ground.
And the materials is poured into the silo by truck and loader then by a device that is called feeder supplied a primary crusher for grinding,usually is a jaw crusher.
2.horizontal silos:in horizontal silos which is same as the main silos only with difference that the horizontal silos are placed on the ground and the matrials are poured in to silos after being recharged it supplied by a secondary crusher that often is type of hyrolic crusher and impact crusher and jaw crusher.
3.Oxygen silos in the asphalt factory:the last type of the silo in stone crushing plant is oxygen silos as is known from their name is installed at high altitudes and is used to feed the secondary crushers.
Silos in the Asphalt factory:
In asphalt plant there are different silos depends on types and capacity.
Cold material silos:
These silos are used to store aggregates to produce asphalt and it includes 3 valves,4 valves,5 valves deponds on capacity of asphalt plant.
Note:in this type of silos cold materials are stored with different aggregate and according to the asphalt required.
Hot materials silos:
Hot materials silos are places individually in which valves and these silos have different tonnages.
The materials are transported to special vehicle asphalt and transferring to the place where the project is.
Note: this type of the silo is usually not designed in 60_tonne asphalt.
Batching plant silos:
Exist types of the silo in batching plant or concrete machine.
Cold material silos:this machine is like to the asphalt plant that is also tied to the tonnage and meter of concrete production includes 2 and 4 valves.
Cement s silos:mainly is made shape of the cylindrical with different capacities to store high tonnage cement.
Also there are silos for storing additives which are used to reinforce the concrete and standardize it.
